About Me
Hi, I’m Ruby. I work across digital marketing, content and communications, creating work that is clear, engaging and built to genuinely connect with people.
I started in journalism, where I learned how to find strong stories, shape them with purpose and communicate them in a way that feels both accessible and engaging. My work has been published in publications such as aAh! Magazine, The Northern Quota and The Tab.
I also created The Northern Quarterly, an independent community magazine centred on Manchester’s Northern Quarter, bringing together local stories, businesses and culture into one cohesive project.
More recently, I’ve moved into digital marketing, focusing on content, campaigns and community-led work.
During my first internship at Bron Yr Aur Micronation as a Content and Email Marketing Intern, I played a key role in shaping the brand’s digital presence at an early stage. Through social media campaigns and email marketing, I helped establish a clearer brand voice and more consistent communication across platforms. I developed and refined the structure, tone and visual identity of the Beyond Borders newsletter, improving both cohesion and audience engagement.
I’m particularly interested in taking ideas that feel scattered and turning them into something clear, purposeful and engaging, whether that’s a piece of content, a campaign or a wider brand direction.
Alongside this, my background in law and customer-facing roles has strengthened how I communicate. It’s taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly, work confidently with different people and stay grounded in fast-paced environments.
I’m now looking for a full-time role in digital marketing, social media or communications where I can continue building content, developing campaigns and contributing to brands that value creativity, clarity and genuine connection.
